3W Royal Blue LED (440nm EPILED) -

3W Royal Blue LED attached to a 19.8mm x 1.6mm aluminium star PCB (printed circuit board). This high luminance diode uses a large 45 Mil EPILED chip emitting a powerful royal blue light peaking with a beam angle of 120°.

Extremely popular for use in aquarium lighting, LED grow lights and specialist stage and architectural lighting, this versatile and powerful LED boasts an impressive 50 lumens when driven at maximum power.  Due to the superior build quality and high specification of the EPILED chips, these 3W LEDs retain an excellent level of efficiency even at higher drive currents. 

As with all high power LEDs this component must be mounted onto an aluminium or copper heat sink with a thermal glue/compound between the rear of the PCB and surface of the heat sink. This is essential to help attain optimal performance, efficiency and lifespan in any LED applications.  Active fan cooling is highly recommended particularly at higher drive currents.
