3W Bright Blue LED (EPILED 460nm)

3W Bright Blue High Power LED for printed circuit boards (PCB). This premium industrial LED houses a solid 45 Mil EPILED chip, producing a powerful bright blue light (120° beam angle) at a wavelength peaking at 460nm.
Please note these LEDs are intended for mounting onto a PCB (printed circuit board) for correct operation. If you need to site these LED individually or need flexibility in your array, we recommend viewing our LEDs that come pre-mounted onto aluminium star PCBs here.
Popular for use in aquatic, horticultural and stage lighting, this versatile and powerful LED boasts an impressive 50 lumens of pure blue light when driven at maximum power. Due to the superior build quality, assembly conditions and high specification of the EPILED chips these 3W LEDs retain an excellent level of efficiency even at higher drive currents.
As with all power LEDs any LED array will need adequate heat management for optimal performance, efficiency and lifespan. As such this component must be mounted onto an aluminium or copper heat sink with a thermal glue/compound between the rear of the PCB and the surface of the heat sink. Active fan cooling is highly recommended particularly at higher drive currents.
